Mr. Gomez launched Field Intelligence, Inc. after contributing 20 years in the agribusiness and transport industries with companies including PurFresh, American President Lines, Fresh Express, and John Deere Water Technology. In addition, Arturo held a senior position at T-Systems International, which was acquired by John Deere during his tenure. Formerly, Arturo held management positions at Sure Beam Corporation, Fresh Express Farms, and American President Lines. Arturo specializes in identifying and opening new markets and forming global partnerships. Arturo holds a bachelor’s degree in political economy from the University of California, Berkeley.
Mr. Guthrie co-founded Field Intelligence, Inc. after 20 years of engineering management and software development in companies such as Intel, ParAccel, Inc., Xprime, and IPivot. Mario specializes in embedded firmware, database and networking development and assumes an advisor role in the areas software development and database management. Mario received his bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Irvine.
Mr. LaFarga, a business executive with more than 19 years at Sony Corporation, has an extensive background in international business development, sales and marketing. Pedro’s impressive professional and personal experience has given him a unique and multi-layered understanding of consumer markets, distribution channels and technology trends across many countries throughout the Americas.
Previous to joining Field Intelligence, Pedro was Senior Vice President in the Consumer Marketing division at Sony Electronics San Diego where he directed Sony’s Information Technology and Digital Imaging marketing divisions in the United State. Prior to this role, from 2009 to 2013 he worked for Sony Mexico as Vice President of Sales & Marketing and was responsible for all consumer products targeting the broader Mexican market while concurrently serving as Vice President of Business Development for Sony Latin America. From 2000 to 2009, with the rapid growth of the global IT industry, he led the launch of Sony´s entry into the personal computer business in Pan American which included the strategic markets of Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Chile and Argentina. Pedro’s tenure at Sony has been significant and deep, culminating from the inception of the North American Free Trade Agreement in 1994. During these early years, between 1994 and 2000, he was a key member of the leadership team which was tasked to expand Sony´s manufacturing operations into Baja California, Mexico.
Pedro graduated from the University of California-Berkeley in 1989 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and in 1994 obtained his M.A. in International Affairs from the University of California-San Diego´s Graduate School of International Affairs and Pacific Studies (IRPS).
Mr. Gleason has two decades of engineering experience within various Smart Monitoring application solutions, ranging from telematics, LEO satellite, wireless data networks, web development, information systems, and systems engineering.
Previously, David was a Senior Software Engineer at Quake Global, where he was the Lead Application Software Engineer for the organization’s largest OEM customers, including Caterpillar, Hyundai, Komatsu, and AirIQ. In this role he was instrumental in developing customer APIs, production test systems, PC/Linux applications, and configuration management and documentation systems.
David received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics from Colorado State University, Fort Collins
Park is a multi-talented software architect and computer engineer with a strong background in developing highly complex software system for terrestrial and satellite telematics applications. Richard joins Field Intell as Lead Software Engineer and brings to that table an expert understanding of advanced AI programming, embedded system design, multi-node communication technologies, data mining and predictive analytics.
Richard’s contribution to Field Intell is leading, and participating in, development of advanced RF communications, embedded digital processors and machine learning systems that solve specific IoT technical and business requirements. These systems are engineered with the latest next-gen technologies that leverage complex predictive, prescriptive and other AI algorithms to help Field Intell customers to effectively monitor, control and optimize their global asset infrastructures.
Richard graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a B.S degree in Computer Engineering and is on course to complete his M.S in June 2016. Richard’s additional accomplishments includes 1st place in the 2013 Cache Prefetcher Design Competition that achieved the highest data cache performance score out of 60 projects. The previous year, Richard led the ViaCar project to design a viable telemetry solution for a 1/10th scale automobile racing competition. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Richard is an avid race car driver, surfer and keen rock climber.
Dr. Garcia has over 40 years’ experience in engineering design and project management with the US Army Corps of Engineers and Bechtel Corp. William is a 28 year veteran at Bechtel Corp where he managed multi-million dollar operations in the US, Indonesia and Mexico. He is an expert in fluid dynamics and holds a PhD in civil engineering from the University of California at Berkeley, a BS from the United States Military Academy at West Point, and an MBA from Golden Gate University in San Francisco.
Ms. Laura Franco is an attorney of Winston & Strawn LLP based out of the firm’s San Francisco and Silicon Valley offices. Laura focuses her practice on intellectual property counseling and litigation, including trademark, copyright, and brand enforcement and protection. Laura has represented start-up and Fortune 500 companies in diverse industries, ranging from video games to financial services to sportswear, in all aspects of brand management, protection, and enforcement. She has extensive experience representing global companies in trademark, copyright, patent, unfair competition, false advertising and domain name litigation, in federal and state courts, and before the US Patent and Trademark Office. Laura also assists clients in connection with developing and executing registration and enforcement strategies for global trademark and copyright portfolios; negotiating and drafting IP licenses; and handling internet, privacy, advertising and contests issues.
Laura has a B.A. in Economics and Latin American Studies from University of California, Berkeley, an M.P.P. in Public Policy from Harvard and J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley.
Mr. Jeff Leshuk brings over 25 years of industrial process engineering experience to the table. During this time he has held strategic leadership positions in marketing, business development, sales, management and R&D. More recently, Jeff serves in an advisory role, leveraging his business experience and unique knowledge of the industry, to help companies, of all sizes, develop and execute high-level strategies designed around industrial process optimization and efficacy.
Jeff served as VP of Strategic Marketing and Business Development at Sensitech Inc. (a United Technologies Company) where he formed a new Professional Services Department made up from a team of top scientists; an initiative that paved the way for Sensitech to provide food & life sciences companies, worldwide, with profitable supply chains. Jeff has also held several high-level marketing roles, notably at Fresh Express and the company’s technology arm, TransFRESH Corporation, where he served as GM of the organization’s Chilean subsidiary.
Mr. Leshuk has extensive experience on the international stage. He has lived and worked in various countries in the Americas and Europe. Jeff holds BS and MS degrees from the University of Illinois and the University of California, Davis, respectively.
